Lacework
The humidity is warping everything again,
curling my calendar against the plaster.
I woke up in recognition
of my body in fragments, flung out
into infinite orbits.
I feel when you touch me
like a mobile set spinning.
Remember, the word precarious
is rooted in the latin for prayer. There
is a thread of breath always stitching
our bodies. Over under.
Over under.
